Roads to Mulegé/Loreto and south are mostly in good shape
Vizcaino is not a dependable Gas
stop anymore, since month they
are frequently out of gas & diesel. San
Ignacio now is open 24 hrs and has
gas & diesel most of the time. From the
entrance to Maneadero on the road is excellent, there are no more Topes in
Maneadero! A rough spot of ca. 1 mi at the repavement location at road marker
km 130 south from Ensenada and then about 20 mi of moderate road under
reconstruction, after that the road is repaved and excellent past El Rosario.
From km 100 to Cativiña, do to the rain lots of potholes are open again. There is also a stretch
of reconstruction between LA. Bay turnoff and Guerrero Negro, rough from
km 35 to 50 and big potholes before and after Jesus Maria. For more on Roads in Baja click
