Thru March 4: Carnaval “Ritmo y Sabor”-- Ensenada's Mardi Gras
One of the city's most popular events, Carnaval attracts a multitude of national and international visitors. Experience the rhythm and flavor of Mexican Mardi Gras while enjoying lavish parades of floats and costumed dancers, regional foods and libations, games and rides, live entertainment and dancing in the streets! Thru March: Guided Whale Watching Tours
View the magnificent California gray whales in Ensenada's Todos Santos Bay as they migrate from the cold northern waters of the Arctic toward their warm breeding grounds along the central Pacific coast of the Baja California Peninsula. Guided 4-hour tours depart Sat. & Sun. at 10am & 1:30pm, weekdays at 11am. Cost is $20dlls./adult and $15dlls./child under 12. Special rates for groups of 30 or more. A percentage of the ticket price is donated to Ensenada's Caracol Museum of Science. March 14 & 15: 17th Annual Tecate SCORE San Felipe 250
Starts and finishes in San Felipe on the Sea of Cortés. Over 200 entries compete in the 228-mile desert race with a 10-hour time limit. Fri. is tech inspection from 10am-6pm on the oceanfront malecón. Sat. is race start (6:30am for motorcycles and ATVs, 7:30am for 4-wheel vehicles) at the San Felipe arches. March 22: Baja Extreme 24-Hour Adventure Race
